Unboxing and Review: Doxa SUB 750T - A Vintage-Inspired Diver's Watch (2026)

Diving into the Doxa SUB 750T: A Review of a Big Watch That Wears Just Right

The Doxa SUB 750T is a vintage-inspired diver that packs a punch with its oversized wrist presence and impressive specs. Despite its similar look to the iconic SUB 300 and SUB 300T, the SUB 750T stands out with its thinner profile and more comfortable wearability.

As a tall guy, I've always been drawn to oversized watches, and the SUB 750T is no exception. With its 45mm diameter and 47mm lug-to-lug, it's noticeably larger than the SUB 300, but it's thinner and more comfortable on the wrist.

The watch comes in eight colors, including the orange 'Professional' and blue 'Caribbean' that I chose for the shoot. The dials feature a sector-style design with raised, black- or white-printed indices, bold hands, and steel dive bezels with a 'no-deco' outer bezel edge, giving it a classic Doxa look.

One of the standout features of the SUB 750T is its thickness. When it was launched in 2002, it measured around 14mm thick, but Doxa found the sweet spot by shaving off 2mm, resulting in a thinner profile without sacrificing visual maximalism.

The watch retails for just under $2800 on a bracelet, which is a solid price, though maybe a bit steep. Doxa's own bracelet with a deployant buckle and ratcheting wetsuit extension is comfortable, but you can also opt for a rubber strap for an additional $440. However, the lug-width of 21mm may require buying a new set of NATO straps.

On my 7.25" wrist, the SUB 750T fits much better than the SUB 300, which I've been meaning to buy for years. The extra 2.5mm width and 2mm lug-to-lug make a noticeable difference, and the thickness is only 0.05mm thicker than the Tudor Black Bay 58 that I've been wearing for years.

The watch is powered by a Sellita SW300 automatic movement, decorated by the brand, but the caseback is closed and engraved, so you won't see it. The 56-hour power reserve and 4Hz beat rate are decent, but the movement is not certified with any specific accuracy, which is a shame. For a similar price, you can get a Formex Reef diver with COSC certification.

The Doxa SUB 750T offers 750m of water resistance, which is more than enough for most people. While it's more about the visual than practical depth, it's still an impressive achievement as a sub-12mm-thick dive watch, especially at $100 cheaper than the SUB 300.

In conclusion, the Doxa SUB 750T is a big watch that wears just right, offering a great combination of style, comfort, and performance. It's a solid choice for those looking for a vintage-inspired diver that stands out from the crowd.
