This crucial win not only eases the pressure on manager Thomas Frank but also significantly boosts their chances of securing a coveted top-eight finish in the prestigious Champions League.
From the outset, Spurs were electric, and it wasn't long before they found the back of the net. Cristian Romero opened the scoring with a clinical finish, expertly set up by the dynamic Wilson Odobert. Odobert was a constant thorn in Dortmund's side, and his influence didn't stop there. His captaincy credentials have been undeniable in recent weeks.
- Destiny Udogie (7): A welcome return to the starting lineup for Udogie, who had a relatively comfortable outing as Dortmund struggled to threaten the Spurs defense. A minor misplaced pass late on went unpunished, but these were valuable minutes for the Italian, who also led the team in tackles won.

This is the part most people miss: Odobert's sheer work rate and directness were instrumental.
- Xavi Simons (8): Simons was simply dominant, truly coming alive on the Champions League stage. He was everywhere, orchestrating play, finding pockets of space, and drawing crucial fouls. He even forced a fine save from Gregor Kobel in the second half.
- Djed Spence (7): Spence looked completely at home on the left wing, eager to get on the ball and take on defenders. He also diligently fulfilled his defensive responsibilities, making a key challenge on Karim Adeyemi.
- Dominic Solanke (8): Making his first start of the season, Solanke looked far more dynamic than in his previous brief appearances. He was tenacious in chasing down loose balls and, crucially, provided a much-needed focal point for the attack. While his goal might have been a bit fortunate, he won't be complaining!
